We do indoor parties as well! Rain or shine, hot or freezing. We have resources for indoor locations as well.
Van-Go is a mobile creative studio for kids, powered by a modified VW Vanagon.
On the surface, it looks like a bright van full of art supplies, imaginative fun, and playful energy popping up at birthday parties, festivals, and school events.
But there’s more: every booking helps fund free mobile outreach to kids in need, from underserved areas, to those impacted by grief or trauma, or just when a little extra care and comfort is needed.
Every paid booking helps support free or low-cost mobile outreach for kids who need extra care. Some are navigating grief. Some have limited access to creative experiences. Some simply need a child-centered space that feels safe, warm, and open.
Our goals are simple. We want to give kids a place to express themselves through art and play. We want to bring families moments of connection in the middle of busy lives. And we want to make creative experiences accessible, mobile, and rooted in care.
Van-Go brings together our training, our values, and our hope for what childhood can feel like: imaginative, steady, and full of possibility.
Kelly brings the direct day-to-day experience of working with children, adapting activities for different needs, and creating environments where creativity feels natural and accessible.
Rachel brings the operational backbone that keeps Van-Go steady and thoughtful: safe setups, clear processes, organized events, and a strong focus on care-centered service.
Together, we combine education, community building, recovery work, and lived experience into a mobile service that knows how to show up for kids and the adults who care for them.
In 2017, our brother was killed in a Marine Corps aviation accident. The care our family received in the years that followed shaped us. Through teaching, community work, and art-based support, we saw how connection helps families heal. Van-Go brings that spirit to kids and families through creative expression and play.

In 2025 we purchased a VW van, launched and successfully funded a Kickstarter campaign with 157 wonderful backers, and brought Van-Go to life.
With our first van on the road and serving families throughout the Hudson Valley, we're setting our sights on being book solid locally, then expanding the vision out to other geos with other great people and vans!
